Some of Carl Grossberg's housing projects have been preserved in black-and-white photographs, which are supplemented by written notes on colours and materials. On this basis, the photographs were coloured using artificial intelligence to reveal the original colour effect. The images shown here represent an attempt to approximate the finely balanced effect intended by Grossberg, including wallpaper, floor coverings, furniture, carpets, and upholstery.
