The German version of the audio guide was recorded by the German actors Ann-Kathrin Kramer and Harald Krassnitzer.
The audio guide for the “Zeiten und Räume” (Times and Spaces) exhibition offers something new: for the first time, prominent speakers have read the texts for selected works from the collection. The Von der Heydt Museum engaged Ann-Kathrin Kramer and Harald Krassnitzer for this project. Both live in Wuppertal and have close ties to the city and its museum.
Kramer was born in Wuppertal and has known the museum since childhood. She was introduced to art at an early age as her parents are freelance painters. As a child, she wanted to become an actress herself, but first trained as a window dresser before going to drama school in Munich at the age of 24. She is now one of the most famous faces on German television, having given convincing performances in the crime series Das Duo and the drama 30 Tage Angst. She also occasionally acts alongside her husband, Harald Krassnitzer, for example in the family comedy "Eltern allein zu Haus".
Krassnitzer was born in Austria. He rose to fame for his starring role in the TV series Der Bergdoktor and as the Austrian detective Moritz Eisner in Tatort, a role he has played since 1999. Krassnitzer was awarded the Grimme Prize for this role.
