Tasks
In the classical sense, a museum has five core tasks.
First: COLLECTING.
The museum collects cultural artefacts for posterity.
Second: PRESERVE.
The museum protects its objects from change and decay.
Third: RESEARCH.
All objects are scientifically analysed and placed in a historical or contextual context.
Fourth: EXHIBIT.
Exhibiting makes selected parts of the collection visible to the public. And they can be viewed from a variety of perspectives.
Fifth: Education
Education takes place in all conceivable forms and should reach as many age and target groups as possible.
